Bring your old garden hose to one of our three Suburban Lawn & Garden locations.
2. Choose Your Savings
For each qualifying hose, choose either a $5 Suburban store credit or 25% off one new garden hose.
3. Give Your Hose a Second Life
Qualifying hoses may be repurposed for practical uses throughout our business, including protective pieces for tree-staking kits.
Does Your Ugly Hose Qualify?
Your hose does not have to be pretty, but it must:
- Be at least 25′ long.
- Have both a male and female connector fitting.
- Be brought in by a Suburban Rewards member.
- Fall within the limit of three hoses per customer.

Why Are We Buying Ugly Hoses?
Because an old garden hose does not necessarily have to end up in the trash.
Sections of returned hoses can be repurposed as protective sleeves in our tree-staking kits. The hose helps cushion the tree trunk where staking wire or support materials could otherwise rub against the bark.
Some returned hoses may also be reused for practical watering needs around Suburban properties.

Do I need to be a Suburban Rewards member?
Yes. The We Buy Ugly Hoses program is available exclusively to Suburban Rewards members. Rewards membership is free.
Can I receive both offers?
No. For each qualifying hose, customers must choose either the $5 store credit or 25% off one new garden hose.
Does my hose need to be clean?
It does not need to look new—it is an ugly hose, after all. However, it should be reasonably free of mud, standing water, chemicals or other materials that could make it unsafe to handle.
What happens to the returned hoses?
Qualifying hoses may be cut and repurposed as protective sleeves in tree-staking kits or reused for practical watering needs around Suburban properties.
Program Terms and Conditions
Your hose does not have to be pretty, but it must:
- The We Buy Ugly Hoses program is available only to Suburban Lawn & Garden Rewards members.
- Customers may trade in a maximum of three qualifying hoses.
- Each hose must be at least 25′ long.
- Each hose must have both a male and female connector fitting.
- For each qualifying hose, the customer may choose either a $5 Suburban store credit or 25% off one new garden hose.
- The $5 store credit and 25%-off offer may not be combined for the same qualifying hose.
- Additional exclusions may apply.
- Suburban Lawn & Garden reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the program at any time.
